'Ø' and 'ø' spawned two different mathematical symbols, '∅' (emptyset) and '⌀' (diameter), with another stylistic variant of empty set (varnothing/slashed zero) currently proposed.

Sometimes it's hard to tell which one, if any in particular, is meant, e.g. in the pseudonym of legendary electro producer Mika Vainio.

Minima is a supersmall, sub-mini pixel font in modern vector outlines, OpenType-TrueType .ttf format. Its capital letters are based on a 3x3 pixel grid but they are proportional and highly flexible. Lowercase letters go down to 2x2 pixels without ascenders or descenders. Minima's accurate type metrics benefit word unit recognition. The nominal font size is 4px.
